The Interview - 07 - Mr. Fluff
Mr. Fluff has to be one the artists to look out for when 2013 comes because I think that it will be his year. Yes, I understand it is a bold statement but this guy has produced 2 of my favorite tracks this month. I believe that Mr. Fluff will be phanomenal next year. Bo aka Mr. Fluff is a Progressive House producer who was recently signed to one of my favorite record labels, Vicious Recordings. He just released a single called Fearless Hearts (which is my favorite Progressive House track right now) and a couple remixes (IMMABLEEPYOUUP!!! has the best remix). Both of the tracks that are my favorite had Mr. Fluff contributing. Once you read the interview, you will understand what I mean.
This guy has a lot on his plate. He owns a record label, he is a producer, a songwriter, and works in a DJ group. It's awesome how he took the time out of his busy schedule to provide us a interview and a 30 minute mix. I hope you guys enjoy the interview as much as I did. He is an upcoming producer which everyone should have on their radar.

10 Marshmallows
Marshmallow Gun: How did you get the name Mr. Fluff?
Mr. Fluff: A long time ago, a friend of mine just randomly said, "since your hair is so big and fluffy, why don't you just call yourself Mr. Fluff?" and that's how I got the name.
MG: How did you get into producing? Who is your biggest inspiration?
MF: Since I really wanted to make music (it was to produce bands and understand more about any kind of music), so I started playing around with Fruity Loops and Logic, next thing I knew I was making House accidentally and started googling what was all of that about. So considered from there, I started to learn things.
MG: If you can collaborate with any artists who would it be? Why?
MF: I would have to say the best people from their own genre / sound as I wanna learn more. I can never stop learning music and how it works on people. How it works on me.
MG: What is your favorite genre, why?
MF: Progressive House of today, I like melodic sounds and headbang when the drop comes. Haha.
MG: As a musician, what would you consider your biggest achievement?
MF: Being signed up to Vicious Recordings, Remixing with Vandalism on Laidback Luke & Angger Dimas' Night Like This. Totally kicks ass to get an official remix out for big names.
MG: Are there any rituals you do before you go on stage and preform?
MF: Nope, just red bull I guess? Haha.
MG: What is your break-through song as a producer?
MF: I think it's definitely "Fearless Hearts" & "Raise Your Voices", if it weren't for them, I don't think I'll be doing this interview.
MG: Besides producing as Mr. Fluff, what other projects are you working on?
MF: I've got a few stuff going on. It's a whole list! Running my record label, Pixelated Waves, produce tracks as "RECovery (MY)", "Chopstah!", "Heavie Head", "Made Faceless", producing and performing with my trio, IMMA*BLEEP*YOUUP!!!, writing songs as singer-songwriter "Bedroom Sanctuary" or soon to be known as "Bo" and of course engineering for "Heston".

MG: Are there any artists we should know about?
MF: I would say watch out for my trio, IMMA*BLEEP*YOUUP!!! as we're gonna release some badass tracks in the near future. Aside from my project, I would have to say "DJ Hightech" of Malaysia, he's been churning out groovy and massive tech house tracks and it's a shame there's no coverage on him. Google him if you like tech house
MG: Do you have anything in store for 2013?
MF: Yes, there's a lot of new releases coming out on Vicious and plans to remix a few more big names. I would love to think that I'll be on a plane traveling for shows. Hopefully the states, someday. hehe
5 Mini-Marshmallows
MG: If you can go to one state in the United States, which state would it be and why?
MF: I would have to say, New York. So many things have happened there, I would love to see what it really is like to be there. The party scene is wild too. I wanna experience NYC!
MG: There is an event in Europe which you party for a month straight. Would you be able to attend that event for a month? Why and why not?
MF: I would have to say ADE, I will be there to party AND to communicate with artists that are walking around. Plus, it's in Amsterdam, you know what's good there :)
MG: What are you top 5 songs of this year?
MF:
1. Sunshine (Tommy Trash Remix) - The Aston Shuffle
2. Get Fat (Original Mix) - Tony Romera
3. Years (Original Mix) - Alesso
4. Goddamn (Loops Of Fury Remix) - Autodidakt & Rotze
5. Just One Last Time feat. Taped Rai (Hard Rock Sofa Big Room Mix) - David Guetta
MG: What is one food you cannot live with out? Why?
MF: Nasi Lemak (Fatty Rice) from Malaysia. How can you not like Fattening, Milky, Spicy Food with a chicken leg on a plate? hahaha! Yes I hear Cholesterol knocking on my door.
MG: Do you like Marshmallows? Why or why not?
MF: Not a fan, it's too much like jelly covered in sugar powder when it's in your mouth. But of course Marshmallow Gun is awesome! (if it's a real gun, shooting people with that would be AWESOME)
Thanks everyone for having me on this interview! Stay Awesome!
